Superstitions is all about storytelling, which is why we love books. These are some of our favorites.
Often considered Kafka’s best work (and my personal favorite), The Castle contains all of the mainstays of a quintessential Kafka novel: a labyrinthine narrative, absurd hijinks, and an indictment of bureaucracy. It also ends abruptly mid-sentence. This new translation considers, for the first time in English, the narrative from a secular perspective, rather than the previously favored allegorical Christian interpretation.
